Healing sweet romance / Secret crush from the male lead
Sunny artist x pragmatist
After reuniting, childhood friends and sworn rivals become "friends" who share a bed.
Wen He, one of the people involved, flees in a panic. A friend teases her, "Who would've guessed someone so well-behaved could do something as shameless as taking everything and then pretending it never happened?"
Wen He smiles bitterly. "There's nothing going on between us."
Their friends exchange looks.
Wen He: "Nothing happened. We really just slept."
Her friend shakes their head with a knowing smile.
"Unless you can prove it."
Seeing that there's no point arguing, Wen He gives up. She pulls out her phone and opens the chat with her online boyfriend to prove her innocence.
Her friends look through it one by one and deliver a sharp verdict: "You're really having it both ways."
Neither one gets left out!
Just as the commotion dies down, Wen He runs into the "friend" she shared a bed with again. That person is impeccably dressed in a suit, with a stern expression. The arrogance of his childhood has been replaced by maturity. Only when discussing his field of expertise does his face relax and he talk at length.
Wait, talk at length?
Did she remember wrong? Sheng Yu was a mute who never spoke as a child.
Curiosity gets the better of her, and Wen He searches on her phone. All kinds of interview videos pop up on the screen.
In every one, he is wearing a suit, standing confidently on an awards stage, the very picture of an "outstanding young person of the province."
Wen He is even more confused. Wasn't Sheng Yu a "good student" who loved to fight? How did he change so much?
But what does any of that have to do with her?
Wen He shakes her head and accepts a request to meet her online boyfriend in person. She dresses to impress, determined to hit all the right notes and win him over in one fell swoop.
But before she even enters, she spots a thin figure with a youthful profile, clearly still a teenager.
After fumbling around for a while, the boy pulls something out of his pocket: a... Little Genius smartwatch for kids?
It really is a smartwatch.
Wen He refuses to believe it and sends two messages from her phone.
The smartwatch on the table rings.
"Ding ding ding!" It rings over and over.
It's him?
It is... him!
This is really a criminal offense.
Three years minimum, death penalty maximum? Wen He steels herself and goes in (backs out). At the same time, she types a question on Zhihu: "How can you tell a college student from a high school student?"
*
First mishap: Wen He repeatedly swears she has no interest in Sheng Yu at all, and that there's nothing going on between them.
Second mishap: Wen He is on the verge of tears. The sworn rival she thought she had may have improper intentions toward her.
Third mishap: Wen He regrets it deeply. She admits she was putting on too much of an act when she talked tough before.
Theme: Both rain and flowers blooming are worth celebrating.
