[Demon Slayer] Gathering Intel Is My Destiny, I Know That

The Water Hashira, usually taciturn and barely noticed, became the focus of a Hashira Meeting. A puzzled Giyu Tomioka tilted his head and opened his mouth to say, “I'm different from you.”

Master stopped him and asked, “In recent years, the casualty rate in your jurisdiction has steadily declined, while the number of demons killed has risen almost in a straight line. Giyu, do you have any idea why?”

...What else could it be? Someone's doing a great job gathering intelligence, of course.

Hanazono Naku, who had worked for both Ango Sakaguchi and Osamu Dazai, considered herself to have no particular talents. She was decent at intelligence work, but terrible at everything else.

A workaholic who lived to outwork everyone else arrived in another world and found herself a new job. She'd heard that Ubuyashiki employees got generous pay and plenty of leave. Aside from a little danger and working nights, it sounded perfect.

And ever since she transferred to the Kakushi, she barely had to deal with danger at all. Wasn't this just her old line of work?

Hanazono, a born-and-bred workaholic, threw herself into her job, and the Water Hashira's workload instantly doubled.

Giyu Tomioka: “...”

Hanazono Naku: “...”

Hanazono finally managed an explanation. “Should I apply for a transfer to another district...?”

“No need.” Giyu Tomioka kept a blank face, his voice carrying an almost imperceptible hint of embarrassment. “You're not that bad yet.”

The eavesdroppers: “Ah, I knew it.”
