Game streamer Shen Can accidentally enters a holographic zombie game, and to make matters worse, he stupidly chooses Hell difficulty.
Zombies: too tough to beat;
Bosses: impossible to take down;
The only thing he can do is scavenge and stockpile! Scavenge and stockpile!
Pile up enough supplies to fill his little base!
Wait, hold on. When did he pick up this NPC with the mysterious background and bizarre behavior?
-
Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned. Just as his base is getting better and better, Shen Can gets bitten by a zombie.
To avoid dying an ugly death, Shen Can chooses to end his own life. He'll be a hero again in the next save!
When he enters the game again, amid the endless oncoming horde of zombies, a pair of familiar eyes watches him from the shadows.
Someone: ⊙_⊙ I'll keep watching you ⊙_⊙ I'll watch you without end ⊙_⊙ forever and ever... ⊙_⊙

Content notes:
The top is 198 cm tall, the bottom 178 cm, with a huge height difference. "Male ghost" is descriptive, not a real ghost.
The first half is a single-player game, a sweet world for two; the second half is multiplayer, with the top haunting him and watching him from the shadows.
The top appears in Chapter 14. Slow burn.
Hoarder: a gaming term for players who like to stockpile large amounts of materials in games.
Theme: Even in the face of adversity, never give up hope for life.
