The Hundred-Day Cocoon [Daffodil]

● A gloomy, aloof, teasing demon bottom x a taciturn, reserved, insecure younger top

Blurb:

If darkness descended upon the world a hundred days from now, what would you do?

In the height of summer, deep in the mountains, eighteen-year-old Zhong Shuqi receives a text while paying respects to his ancestors. It comes from himself, ten years in the future.

[...Zhong Shuqi.]

[Listen to me. I'm Zhong Shuqi, twenty-eight years old. I need your help now, or you'll disappear from this world a hundred days from now.]

Eighteen-year-old Zhong Shuqi pauses with his finger over the delete button.

Disappear?

He smiles silently. He's already lost all attachment to this world. If he could just disappear, that wouldn't be so bad.

[...]

[I bet you're wondering: if "Zhong Shuqi" can only live another hundred days, why has the "Zhong Shuqi" from ten years in the future come here?]

The twenty-eight-year-old demon Zhong Shuqi types the message with casual indifference. He hadn't expected their personalities to change so much in just ten years. He refuses to admit that this useless person in front of him was once himself.

Still, no one understands eighteen-year-old Zhong Shuqi better than he does.

After inexplicably going through two looped timelines in a single day, eighteen-year-old Zhong Shuqi's expression darkens as he takes out his phone.

[...What am I supposed to do?]

As expected, the sensitive eighteen-year-old Zhong Shuqi, starved of love and easily lured by the smallest kindness, gradually falls into the web woven by the demon.

And so...

"Believe me. I'm the only person in this world who loves you most."

The demon gently embraces him from behind, a strange smile appearing on his pale face.

[Perhaps you've heard of butterflies eating carrion...]

[, A Cocoon in a Hundred Days.]

[There's no time. You have to find Them as soon as possible, before you run out of loops.]

● Reader's guide:

1. Narcissistic romance, 1v1, both characters are romantically inexperienced.

2. The top and bottom are ten years apart. The bottom will have a body of his own later on. They first love and fight each other while learning to understand one another, then team up to defeat the boss.

3. Contains folk-horror elements. Happy ending.
