I've Been Waiting Ages for You to Make Our Relationship Official [Sentinel/Guide]

Song Li'an has been good-looking and academically gifted since childhood. He later gets into a top university with ease, the perfect example of someone else's well-behaved child. Parents even use him as an example when teaching their own children.

But he's always had a little secret: he can't empathize with any human being.

He never thought there was anything wrong with that, until he met a Sentinel who smelled wonderful.

Song Li'an thinks the Sentinel acts a little strange.

When he gives the Sentinel mental guidance, the Sentinel's limbs stiffen, his face flushes, and his heart races. He even makes sounds that are both pained and pleasurable.

Song Li'an can't tell whether it feels good or bad.

It doesn't matter if the Sentinel is a little strange. Song Li'an is still happy to be friends with him, because the Sentinel has a big, furry spirit form that's very pleasant to touch. Best of all, it doesn't shed, and Song Li'an loves it.

But every time he pets the furry spirit form, the Sentinel's eyes turn red at the corners and fill with tears, as if he's about to cry.

Afraid that he might really start crying, Song Li'an cuts back on his petting.

Later, someone tells him that he should keep his distance from the younger brother of his future arranged-marriage partner and not get too close.

Song Li'an agrees, only half understanding. So the Sentinel cries because he's been acting inappropriately.

Qin Wenyu has been feeling conflicted lately because he's fallen for his older brother's little Guide.

The little Guide is handsome and powerful. Every time he gives Qin Wenyu mental guidance, Qin Wenyu feels as if his body and soul have been elevated, and his spirit form feels unbelievably good too.

Every time it happens, he feels guilty toward his brother, while secretly feeling delighted at the same time.

After being a coward for so long, Qin Wenyu finally decides to confess to the little Guide. But before he can say a word, the little Guide suddenly starts keeping his distance.

Qin Wenyu is stunned. After drinking, he goes to see the little Guide, only to be wrapped up from head to toe by the little Guide's frenzied spirit form. He can't leave the room all night.

Content warnings:

1. The gong takes the lead in the relationship.

2. The shou is highly competent professionally, but rather clueless in how he deals with things. If that's not your thing, feel free to skip.

3. The gong's brother and the shou haven't finalized their arranged marriage, so there is no official relationship.

4. This story has no moral compass. No moral compass. No moral compass. That's important, so I'll say it three times.

Theme: Work hard and build a happy, harmonious family.
