Also known as: Being the Cat's Master to a Disabled Prince
Qiao Qiao is a tabby cat. A sickly two-legged creature moved into the mountain where she lorded it over everyone, so to defend her position, Qiao Qiao decided to go check him out.
The two-legged creature's territory was huge, and Qiao Qiao accidentally got lost. Starving, she followed a delicious smell and looked up to see the creature sitting beneath a window, gazing down at her.
Qiao Qiao walked over and rubbed against his leg. "Meow, meow, meow!"
The cat is hungry. Hurry up and serve her!
After being fed, Qiao Qiao decided to take this unusual little underling under her paw. She came by to patrol every few days and brought him different prey:
The first time: a little bird.
The second time: a big rat.
The third time: a little flower snake.
The cat clenched her paw: That pitch-black soup is awful! The cat will take care of you!
After a great victory in the northwest, Prince Su was left with an incurable illness. The emperor bestowed an imperial garden on him so he could recuperate.
Poisoned, with both legs crippled, and once a leading candidate for the throne, Prince Su had become a helpless invalid at the height of his glory. His temperament changed completely, until a black cat with emerald eyes entered his sight.
The cat was soft, affectionate, and always begging for food. She brought him all sorts of strange things, and used her sharp claws to scratch anyone who harbored ill intentions toward him. But with him, she sheathed her claws and showed him her soft paw pads.
Her "meow, meow" became the most unique presence in his life.
Prince Su gave the cat the very best of everything. Everyone could see just how much she meant to him.
One day, the heir to the throne was formally appointed, and the emperor held a banquet. The greedy cat ate food from Prince Su's bowl, then collapsed in convulsions. Prince Su went mad on the spot, slaughtering everyone at the banquet and marching on the capital to avenge his cat.
Prince Su carried the unconscious cat back to the imperial garden, praying to the gods and Buddhas for her to wake up. After waking from yet another nightmare, he met a pair of bright green eyes.
The cat in his arms was gone. In her place was a beautiful young man with black cat ears and a black cat tail.
Bonus scene:
On the nth day after turning human, Qiao Qiao tucked his head against the man's chest and demanded a petting.
Prince Su stroked his head, squeezed his ears, then moved downward and touched his tail.
Qiao Qiao's fur stood on end. "Don't touch the base of my tail, meow!"
