Which One of Us Is Cultivating the Path of Emotionlessness?!

The little vine spirit had picked up flowers, birds, and even a badly injured man who had passed out at the foot of the mountain.

The little vine spirit did his best to care for the patient, planning to nurse the man back to health and then release him, just as he had done with all the other flowers, plants, and animals he had found.

But when the man woke up, he had lost all his memories. He refused to leave the mountain and kept saying and doing strange things.

Today he'd praise the little vine spirit's true form as cute and ask to touch it. Tomorrow he'd bring him flowers and ask him to bloom. He liked to snuggle up against him and rub against him, and said they should become cultivation partners and stay together forever...

The little vine spirit was fed up: "Fine, fine, whatever you want."

After they became cultivation partners, the man grew even clingier. Luckily, not long afterward, his injuries healed and his memories returned. The little vine spirit heard from someone else that the man was an Emotionless Dao Emperor from the Ninth Heaven, born without a seed of emotion. Once he finished his tribulation, he would surely abandon the little demon and return to the Ninth Heaven.

The little vine spirit thought that made sense. The man's appetite had been growing lately, and he practically wanted to cling to him all day. So, while the man was out, the little vine spirit quickly packed his things and ran away.

After the Emperor had made all the arrangements, he came back to fetch his beloved and hold the grand wedding they'd missed. All he found was an empty house.

The Emperor, who had been sweet and clingy with his spouse just two days earlier: Where's my spouse? The one this big!

His spouse was the one cultivating the Emotionless Dao, wasn't he?!
