A Novelist's Life in the Nineteenth Century

This is Copenhagen in the nineteenth century.

When she opens her eyes, Estella has gone from a university student in the twenty-first century to a "burden" despised by her stepmother and forgotten by her father.

She lives in a cramped attic, and her only "possession" is an old bedsheet her stepmother gave her out of pity.

Her stepmother sneers at her: "You good-for-nothing daydreamer! Can fairy tales put food on the table?"

Looking at her fingers, cracked from the cold, and her younger sister Lina shivering in the corner, just as miserable as she is, Estella has only one thought: take Lina with her and live with dignity!

The only thing she can use as she pleases is a stubby pencil she found.

More importantly, on the nights she sings Lina to sleep, the countless ideas buried in her mind begin to turn into stories. The mermaid of Copenhagen is crying, elves hide in the forest after the snow, and even the flames dancing in the stove seem like visitors...

With the publication of her first fairy tale, Copenhagen's queen of letters begins to rise...
