A Detective's Days in the Nineteenth Century

London's East End in the nineteenth century.

When Irene transmigrated into the body of a poor woman and climbed back up to the attic, the landlord was throwing her younger brother's bedding out into the rain.

Their mother had been tragically murdered by Jack the Ripper. Their father remarried and inherited a sprawling wine estate, but their stepmother drove Irene and her brother out. In the freezing snow, all they had left was three shillings.

Even a single loaf of rye bread could ruin her finances.

Shivering beneath a broken bridge, the siblings huddled together under one scarf, starving to the point of madness.

At that moment, amid London's thick fog, a new idea ignited in Irene's mind. To survive, she would return to her old line of work and apply for a job at a detective agency!

Starting as an ordinary agency employee, Irene would step by step become London's celebrated master detective and own a detective agency of her own.
