Huo Jun'an, the head of the Huo Group, found a beautiful young man somewhere. He had raven-black hair and lips more vivid than rose petals, but there was always a hint of sorrow in his eyes.
Huo Jun'an kept him in a villa in the suburbs, pampering him with every luxury. Few people asked his name, but everyone knew he was Huo's treasured little pet.
It wasn't unusual. The little canary was beautiful, and Mr. Huo was young and rich. Keeping a lover was nothing out of the ordinary in their circle. No one could say there was anything wrong with it.
The only difference was that the little canary might not have been willing.
People often saw him weeping alone. Whenever the young Mr. Huo visited, the doors were shut tight, and a racket would erupt inside. When he left, only a mess remained, along with the little canary, red-eyed and lying helplessly on the bed.
Of course, some people pitied him. But what good did that do? The little canary didn't have the courage to fight back with his life, and no one could see anything in him worth saving. He was just a fragile dodder vine. He would die if he left Huo Jun'an, and with him, he would slowly wither away.
Until one day
They saw the little canary on television: "the youngest PhD in fundamental physics," "the youngest Yellow River Scholar," and "the person most likely to break through the barriers of the age."
Only then did people realize whom Huo Jun'an had put in a cage.
#Huo Jun'an, you bastard# #Huo Jun'an, you deserve to die#

You were exceptionally bright. You started elementary school at three, middle school at eight, and got into university at fifteen. They called you a genius. The dean, who was like a mother to you, regarded you as her greatest pride, and every teacher treated you like a precious jewel.
But only you knew that you endured torment every day.
You hated studying, hated the expectant looks of everyone around you, and even hated thinking itself.
You hated that you were still thinking.
You wished you could become a reed, drifting along a dark river, all the way to the deepest, quietest darkness.
You would die at twenty-two. That was the exit you had prepared for yourself.
But you couldn't return to that pure darkness.
A hand grasped you tightly.
Warmth passed from its palm into yours. Two entirely different sets of memories intertwined, and suddenly, tears fell from your eyes.
This is "you."
The love, happiness, and hope you were missing.

No one knows how many times Huo Jun'an pulled you down from the rooftop, just as no one knows the twisted love and pain in your heart.
Please love me. Please save me.
