And so the Stark family burst onto the scene. Gotham's nights saw a splash of color for the first time, the Scarlet One looked down upon the chaos from beside a gargoyle, while an elegant new star in the business world raised his glass in a distant toast to Wayne.

Those steel-blue eyes turned his way. Sweet Bruce darling was about to strike up a conversation, but the debonair young man bent down and kissed the back of his hand.

"Sir, please forgive my boldness. You are so charming that I fell in love with you at first sight."

The first time the Big Blue Bird met Eld, Eld put a hand on the young officer's shoulder and discreetly asked if he wanted to spend the night together.

The first time the Little Red Bird met Eld, Eld flatly rejected Wayne's investment and told Tim he wanted to make his own way in the world.

The second time the Big Blue Bird met Eld, Eld invited him for a drink. Beneath the setting sun in Gotham, he tried to steal a beating heart with the slyest of words.

The second time the Little Red Bird met Eld, Eld took him over the edge of a 500-meter skyscraper. Plunging straight down, they reached a place level with the moon, where Eld invited him to begin a new life.

When the Little Red Bird and the Big Blue Bird met, they tacitly kept those unspeakable scenes to themselves.

And added one dangerous mark after another to Eld's file.

So, when the Big Blue Bird and the Little Red Bird met Eld for the third time, he was curled up in their father's arms. After sharing a lingering good-morning kiss, he sat down at the table and said hi to them.

Big Blue Bird/Little Red Bird: ...

Wait, what, bro?

As he raised a glass to celebrate his election victory at the White House, Eld Stark thought again of that night the big, dark bat had burst through his window.

A hand cold with the chill of night clamped around his neck, demanding to know his motives and intentions.

"Of course, of course. I can tell you anything."

Almost unable to breathe as Eld was being choked, he raised both hands and struggled to speak.

"But could we talk about this? Maybe you could..."

His face was flushed, sharp little fangs showing, his smile carefree.

"Squeeze a little harder?"

"Baby, you're so sexy."

Eld Stark knew that one day he would go home. Like a migratory bird returning to its homeland after flying far away, he had to go back and see his father.

After all, if he couldn't see with his own eyes the Lord of Eden, the new God, his great father...

The protagonist isn't a morally gray jokester, but he's no traditional good guy either. His morals are below average, and he has all the same issues as White Tin.

An ambitious playboy, he falls for everyone he meets at first, then gets beaten into devotion by Bruce later on.
