How Can Reborn Rimbaud and His Scriptwriter Friends Get a Happy Ending?

My name is Arthur Rimbaud, and I'm a singularity on a 24/7, year-round, no-days-off shift. Ever since I physically became one with my dear friend Paul Verlaine, I don't feel cold anymore, and I don't get tired anymore. Using my ability on myself every second of every day keeps me full of energy, too. I'm confident I can keep Paul going for another hundred years without a break! Who knew I'd wake up with my eyes neither open nor closed, and find that everything around me had changed? But none of that matters. What matters is the dear friend right in front of me, still in a growth pod and clearly just born!!! That's right, I've been reborn, back in the year I turned sixteen. That year, my dear friend had just been born and was happily enjoying life in his growth pod, without having to work or anyone telling him off. That year, I was still an ace intelligence agent who took life and death in stride, completely unmoved by anything. And that was the year I'd save my dear friend from the clutches of the Shepherd, and make an eternal vow to stay by his side for life. That's right, my name is Arthur Rimbaud. I've been reborn, back in the year I turned sixteen. This time, I'll change the ending where we become strangers to each other. "So that's your excuse for causing me trouble?" Verlaine, who had seen the future through the Book and held the script in his hands, thought he probably wasn't in a position to ask that. Rimbaud meant well and made things worse, and so did he. P.S. The blurb and idea came from suggestions by Yun Qi Song Feng Xiao when she helped me submit this novel for approval. Yes, I already wrote ten thousand words for the submission (but it was rejected). Still, I feel like this story would be a different kind of novel from the one I'm writing now. It sounds like fun, too. I'll save it for now and start it when I have time. Blurb posted on 2024.6.13 Theme: Eternal love guides us upward
