Rimbaud's HE Plan at Sixteen

Ever since I physically became one with my dear friend Verlaine, I don't feel cold or tired anymore. Using my ability on myself every second of every day keeps me full of energy. I'm confident I can give Paul another hundred years without stopping! Who knew I'd open my eyes to find the scenery had changed? But that doesn't matter. What matters is my dear friend, still in a cultivation pod and clearly just born recently!!! That's enough for today's diary. I need to get busy rescuing my dear friend from the Shepherd's clutches. A slow-burn, serious story. Sixteen-year-old Rimbaud remembers everything from his previous life and meets Black No. 12, who isn't "Verlaine" yet, for the first time again. Together, they live through the Great War, and eventually move toward the future. Content warnings: 1. Rimbaud/Verlaine, either way around, I guess. They're both so forceful that I can't picture one as top or bottom. I can only say that the Rimbaud who remembers is the main one expressing his feelings. 2. Dual protagonists. The story focuses more on Rimbaud's perspective early on, and Verlaine needs to develop a worldview first. 3. The main setting is Europe. The timeline runs from when the two meet to shortly after the Great War ends, and the story barely touches on canon. 4. Everything is fictional.
