After the Little Deaf One Made a Pact with the Evil God

Shi Tingyu has been sickly and unlucky since childhood. He is deaf in his right ear, and everyone says he won't live past ten.

When he turns ten, Shi Tingyu dreams that he enters into a life-and-marriage pact with a man whose face he cannot make out. From then on, the little deaf boy can hear voices coming from another world in his right ear.

**

Shi Tingyu's health improves day by day, but the world before his eyes changes beyond recognition.

The sky above is no longer blue.

The moon becomes a blood-red eye.

The stray dogs by the roadside grow horns and crawl in twisted shapes like demons...

Whenever night falls, countless black tentacles grow from the shadow beneath his feet.

Every one of them coils tightly around Shi Tingyu's calves, arms, and slender, delicate neck.

A strange yet familiar man's voice softly calls in his ear:

Little Fish.

Ten years later, Shi Tingyu has become the most powerful exorcist in Jiangcheng. His fearsome methods make every eerie creature tremble, and he carries a spirit tablet with him whenever he goes on a mission. It bears no name, yet radiates a chilling, ominous presence.

No one knows that the Exorcist Association's most promising young exorcist is always accompanied by a powerful eerie creature.

Eerie creatures as other people see them: cold, terrifying, indescribable.

The eerie creature in Shi Tingyu's home: peerlessly handsome, possessive.

...And not very bright.

For example, after watching a nature documentary, it imitates a male peacock fanning out its tail

proudly showing Shi Tingyu its 108 thick tentacles, which nearly fill the entire house.

For example, after seeing the neighbor's cat bring its owner a dead mouse as a gift,

the next day

a bloody, half-dead wanted monster appears beside Shi Tingyu's bed.

Shi Tingyu finally loses his patience. "Break the contract. I'm divorcing you!"

Rong Shi readily agrees. "Fine. Let's date. I'm your boyfriend now."
