Please Let the Prodigy Fall [Figure Skating]

[Competitive Sports / Coming of Age / Healing / Happy Ending]

Negative-energy broadcaster x lousy but handsome "philosopher"

-

Being born with a mission isn't a good thing. Some people are born to skate.

"Guan Yichen has the most technically sound skating."

"Guan Yichen is a once-in-a-generation figure skating prodigy in China."

"Guan Yichen will definitely make it to the Winter Olympics one day."

These were the words Guan Yichen heard most often.

In 2020, Guan Yichen was seventeen, and had been skating for sixteen years and one month.

Novelty, arrogance.

Monotony, pain.

Loathing, hatred.

She spent sixteen years proving that "genius" was the cheapest label of all, and talent was an absurd lie.

"Yes, I hate it. I hate it so much I wish I could crawl back into my mother's womb and live my life all over again."

Guan Yichen always believed that hate lasted longer than love.

Until someone said:

"Hard work is a kind of talent too. You already have more than so many people."

"The world admires too many young prodigies. I, on the other hand, bloom late."
