An ever-energetic little sun x a little planet that always orbits the sun

At the 2022 Winter Olympics, after years of silence in ice dance, the Huaxia team finally won its first-ever Olympic gold in the event.

As champions, Ye Shaoyao and Ji Linyue move across the ice in perfect harmony, like a couple. In private, though, they're sworn rivals.

Reporter: "How would you rate today's performance?"

Ji Linyue: "We performed at our best."

Ye Shaoyao: "He just pinched me."

Reporter: "What are your hopes for the competitions ahead?"

Ye Shaoyao: "We'll do our best to show an even higher level."

Ji Linyue: "She just said she wanted to retire."

Reporter: Is that something you're allowed to say?

"Peonies or roses, we are each other's branches and leaves, two flowers joined at the stem in the garden. And I believe this garden will always be here. We took root here, and we'll bloom forever."

Reader tips:

- The protagonist switches from singles skating to ice dance.

- All characters are [not based on real people]. The history of figure skating differs from reality; nothing is intended as an allusion. Please don't read it that way.

- The early chapters focus on daily life, while the later chapters focus on the protagonists' careers. The story follows a generation of characters.

- The story includes some specialized knowledge, with annotations. Please point out any errors and be understanding.

- Parallel universe; the timeline goes back to 2001. Some place names are pseudonyms.

- No System, no golden finger. This is a coming-of-age story, not a power fantasy. The protagonists build their own success.

- My first long-form novel. The early pacing is slow, and I'm revising it.

- I only take responsibility for the official version.
