The Wife of a Gay Man

Lin Qiu always thought this was what marriage was like.

Once they had a child, the passion disappeared. Whenever she wanted him, he would say he was tired or stressed from work. The look in his eyes as he turned her down made it seem as if her desire were ravenous, as if she wanted to devour him.

So she became ashamed of wanting him. Eventually, she stopped wanting him altogether.

For ten years, she was his wife, the mother of his child, and the daughter-in-law of his parents. She was quiet and dutiful, patient and restrained. She went from slim to overweight, her fingers gradually growing rough and her face growing more and more troubled.

She thought he was a good man: responsible, faithful, and reasonably devoted to the family.

She thought they would just keep living this way.

She thought this was what marriage was like.

Until one day, she discovered her husband's secret.

The woman who had endured her whole life suddenly decided she was done enduring.

Reader's Guide:

1. I simply want to tell this kind of story. I may revise the blurb later.

2. It probably won't be very long.

Theme: Being deceived is nothing to be ashamed of.
