Genius director x business magnate
①
In high school, Ji Ci had a secret: she had a crush.
Jin Zhouwang was born to shine, rebellious and brazen, doing whatever he pleased.
No one knew that Jin Zhouwang had a crush on her too.
The summer after the college entrance exams, they unexpectedly met at a little bar in Iceland.
A European Championship football match was playing on the bar’s TV.
Jin Zhouwang leaned back in his chair, casually toying with two dice on the table. A moment later, he tossed them and spoke lazily.
“Who’s going to win? Pick a team to bet on.”
“What’s the wager?”
“If I win, you date me. If you win, I’ll date you.”
During college, they were in a relationship for three years.
Later, Ji Ci broke up with him without warning.
No one could have imagined that the golden boy would one day beg her to stay, lowering himself to plead with her.
The night they broke up, a storm raged.
Ji Ci stood before Jin Zhouwang, her face expressionless. “I was just messing with you. You were the only one who took it seriously.”
“I never want to see you again.” Ji Ci turned and walked away without hesitation.
Jin Zhouwang’s eyes reddened. He forced himself to stay calm and deliberately said something he didn’t mean. “Fine. You’d better never show your face in front of me again.”
②
Three years passed before they met again, at a drinking party.
Ji Ci showed no mercy as she threw a drink in Jin Zhouwang’s face. “This is what you owed me.”
Before he could react, she turned and left.
The drink slid down his cheek. Jin Zhouwang laughed in anger.
She was the one who had dumped him back then. What right did she have to say he owed her?
Later, they met again at that bar in Iceland, in Northern Europe.
A European Championship football match was playing on the TV, and everything was just as it had been before.
After a while, Ji Ci turned to leave, only to find a familiar figure standing behind her.
The bar’s warm, yellow light fell around them. They faced each other, neither speaking for a long time.
Just as Ji Ci tried to walk around Jin Zhouwang, the man, his eyes faintly red, blocked her way.
“Ji Ci, let’s talk.”
③
Later still.
In a pitch-black hallway,
the man’s tall frame radiated a powerful sense of menace. He gently straightened Ji Ci’s hair, his warm fingertips brushing her cheek with an irresistible forcefulness.
“Ji Ci, try walking away again. Just try it.”
“I meant it.” He softly stroked the corner of her eye, his gaze full of possessiveness as he murmured, “Please, mess with me.”
“As long as you don’t leave me...”
The year they finished the college entrance exams, at the end of their trip to Iceland, Jin Zhouwang wrote a letter. It didn’t reach Ji Ci until eight years later.
“The story can resume.”
“It’s snowing in Iceland again. I want to see you.”

Literary family’s heiress x heir to a top American financial dynasty
①
In high school, Sang Zhuyue went to study in the United States on her own.
As arranged by her family, she stayed temporarily with one of her father’s friends.
She learned that he had a son her age, Sairende.
He was rumored to be a rebellious, free-spirited golden boy, the sole heir to the Rockefeller family.
When they first met, the blue-eyed, blond-haired boy looked down at her, his eyes revealing a trace of barely concealed scrutiny and arrogance.
“Don’t show yourself in front of him.”
That was the rule he made.
But he was also the one who broke it.
Late at night, an unwelcome visitor entered her room.
Sairende closed in on her step by step, forcing her into a corner. He braced one hand beside her head, his voice low and husky. “Kiss me.”
Sang Zhuyue closed her eyes, unwilling to look at him. “No.”
A soft laugh came from above her.
In the darkness, the boy’s thumb pressed hard against her lips, his touch brimming with undeniable force. “Don’t make me force you.”
“Kiss me. Now.”
-
Sang Zhuyue couldn’t bear it anymore. She ran, he chased her, and she was caught and brought back.
The cycle repeated over and over.
After he caught her again, he locked her in an empty manor.
A mirrored room, a waterbed, bells.
Sairende gripped her chin with one hand and forced her to look at the huge mirror on the ceiling. His eyes filled with sick delight. “Look. You’re so beautiful beneath me...”
“Baby, you’ll never be able to leave me.”
②
Sang Zhuyue couldn’t take any more. She tried everything she could think of, and finally managed to escape.
Five years later, they met again in New York.
Late at night, lightning flashed outside and rain poured down.
Sang Zhuyue returned to the dim room. As she listened to the thunder, a chill inexplicably ran down her back.
Before she could turn around, an intensely possessive body pressed against her from behind. Strong arms wrapped around her waist and tightened steadily.
“Sairende, don’t...” Sang Zhuyue recognized him. Her voice trembled as she tried to struggle, but it was useless.
“Don’t what?” The man lowered his head and sighed deeply beside her ear. “You disappeared without a word for five years. Tell me, how should I punish you?”
As he spoke, his cool lips landed on the back of her neck, then gradually moved lower.
“I’ll punish you by marrying you tomorrow.”
“You’ll never leave me again, not for the rest of your life.”
[Come here. Hold me.]
[Come here. Kiss me.]
[Please, Yueyue.]
In tenth grade, he made the last letter of her name into a necklace and wore it around his neck.
He wore it for nine years.
“You are my moon.”
Moon, moon, your name is the defining word of my youth.
“For nine years, the winds of New York kept blowing, and still they brought two people in love back to each other.”
“No one but you.”
