[Originally titled My One and Only Wife; the premise and blurb have been revised]
Xu Yike ends his marriage to Ji Xun.
Five years of marriage have grown dull and bland, the passion they once had long gone.
At a bar, surrounded by a row of slick, handsome male models, Xu Yike gets a call from a friend.
Ji Xun has driven his car into a ditch and is at death's door.
Xu Yike rushes to the hospital in a panic... then points at Ji Xun, who's lying in bed completely unharmed but with remarkably clear, innocent eyes, and demands:
“You tell me, how is this being at death's door?”
Ji Xun wraps his arms around Xu Yike's waist and won't let go, calling him “Wifey” over and over.
Xu Yike pushes him away. “We're already divorced.”
Ji Xun says, “What are you talking about? Look at you, being naughty again. We only got married this morning!”
He holds Xu Yike's face and examines it closely. “Huh, Wifey, how did you get wrinkles at the corners of your eyes in just one afternoon? Didn't the luxury skincare products I bought you work?”
Xu Yike slaps him.

Ji Xun is in good health, but the car accident damaged his brain, and his memories have reverted to five years ago.
The doctor tells Xu Yike, “The divorce cooling-off period hasn't ended, so you're still his guardian.”
Xu Yike takes Ji Xun home and accidentally ends up being his guardian in bed.

A month passes, and Xu Yike's health keeps getting worse.
He suffers from insomnia, dizziness, and loss of appetite, and eventually ends up in the hospital with severe abdominal pain.
In his hospital bed, Xu Yike stares at the pregnancy test report in his hand, lost in thought.
He's pregnant.
“Ex-husband, what did you put in the condom?”
Ji Xun rushes over, sweat still on his forehead, and hugs him when he hears this. “You're sick, and you're still in the mood to flirt?”
“Fine, I'll tell you. I poked holes in it. Wifey, didn't you say you wanted to have a baby for me?”
His eyes fall on the report, and Ji Xun's expression changes abruptly. “Holy crap, you're really pregnant?!”
“But you're a man?!”
“No, wait, I should know whether you're a man or not!”
Xu Yike wants to twist his head off.
He decides to keep the baby and get rid of the father.

The delivery is difficult.
Xu Yike keeps trembling from blood loss.
Suddenly, he's afraid, unsure whether he'll make it off the operating table.
Ji Xun leans beside the bed, eyes red.
Xu Yike looks at the man he once loved deeply, the man who stubbornly stayed by his side after the divorce and helped him through a difficult pregnancy. Tears suddenly spill down his face.
“If I don't make it... take good care of my son.” He grabs Ji Xun's hand. “You have to be all right too.”
“No!” Ji Xun is on the verge of breaking down. “You have to be all right too!”
“Even without me, even if we never see each other again in this life, you have to make your life better and better, Xu Yike!”
He shouts the exact same words he said before he lost his memory.
Xu Yike's unfocused eyes slowly come into focus. With the last of his strength, he grabs Ji Xun by the hair.
“I knew your brain had recovered ages ago, you bastard!”
