The apocalypse is here, and no one is spared.

After a torrential downpour, a plague known as "urban legends" began to spread across the planet. Wherever you are, you could be infected by one. The world of urban legends is overrun with the uncanny. The only way to survive is to figure out the rules.

But entering an urban legend means risking almost certain death. For the people living on this planet, this is the real apocalypse.

To stay alive, people scrape by in government-designated safe zones, terrified of confronting the rules of the urban legends firsthand.

Yet one person sought out the Paranormal Investigation Bureau of his own accord, asking to enter an "urban legend."

Wu Yueti, known by everyone as the "star of calamity." Orphaned as a child, he brings misfortune to everyone he grows close to.

Alone in the world, he became a mortician who works with the dead.

No one had ever seen Wu Yueti smile. That is, until the day the urban legends arrived. As he watched the news online, he gave a bizarre, chilling smile.

He had predicted this day twenty years ago.

With the Bureau's help, Wu Yueti ventured into the world of the rule-bound urban legends.

In this world of rule-based games, you can only survive by clearing each one. There are ten stages in all, each lasting twenty-four hours, which is why the game is also called the "Ten-Day Urban Legend."

In this game, Wu Yueti is a high school student.

Today is Friday. After evening study, the students at Experimental Middle School can go home and enjoy the weekend.

But outside the classroom tonight, the person on patrol isn't the potbellied dean of discipline. It's a "person" with no face.

Today is Saturday, and Wu Yueti has arrived at his "home" in this world.

But his "family" seems strange. Mom is chopping meat in the kitchen, and chewing sounds come from time to time in his younger sister's room. And Dad... Oh, Dad is missing. Where could he be?

[Urban Legend, Day Three]

[Location: Aquarium]

Your name is Wu Yueti. Today is Sunday, and you've arranged to go to the aquarium with your good friends this weekend.

But after arriving at the aquarium, you realize that the things in the exhibits... don't seem to be animals?

Look closely. They seem to be twisted human figures.

[Urban Legend, Day Four]

[Location: Bus]

Today is Monday, and Wu Yueti has to go to school. But the Route 901 bus he boarded before school turned into Route 106 after he got on.

Oh, that passenger sitting in front of him seems to have his feet on backward.

As the "star of calamity," Wu Yueti had assumed he wouldn't form emotional attachments with anyone in the Ten-Day Urban Legend game, either.

But a few people didn't seem to care about dying. They kept trying to get close to him.

One man in particular was a constant nuisance to Wu Yueti.

Every day, he would show up beside Wu Yueti in one bizarre way or another.

Wu Yueti grew impatient and could only ask, "Who exactly are you?"

The man was expressionless, yet seemed to be smiling. He stared at Wu Yueti and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear:

"You don't need to care who I am. Just know that I was born because of you, and I'd gladly die for you."

"I don't fear the star of calamity, because I'm a 'monster' just like you."
