Jing Jiao has awakened to the truth.
He's actually a troublemaking cannon-fodder character who frames the domineering protagonist.
Before the Jing family goes bankrupt, he's arrogant and tyrannical, causing trouble at every turn. Since his family funds the protagonist, he takes whatever liberties he wants with him, treating him as his personal property.
Even after the bankruptcy, he feels entitled to order the protagonist to support him. The protagonist doesn't like him, but out of gratitude for the Jing family's financial support, he chooses to work three jobs a day to keep him fed.
But then Jing Jiao can't resist temptation and joins forces with someone else to frame the protagonist, driving him into a desperate situation and making him turn completely evil.
But the protagonist is a domineering hero. Not only does he survive the crisis, he's also found by a powerful family and becomes its sole heir. Jing Jiao is punished in return, thrown into prison, and eventually takes his own life in despair.
#How do you survive under a domineering protagonist when you have to follow the plot?#
Jing Jiao has barely awakened when he faces a classic cannon-fodder death scene. Egged on by a bunch of bad friends, he uses the promise of university funding to threaten the protagonist, demanding that the domineering hero kneel on one knee, call him Master, and feed him wine.
The protagonist appears compliant, but his gaze is sinister and vicious as a stray dog's. Jing Jiao's survival instincts kick into high gear. After careful thought, while the protagonist is feeding him wine, he deliberately brushes his lips against the man's fingers. Then, while the others watch, eager for the show, he quietly says:
"Actually, I bully you because I like you. All of this is just my way of getting your attention."
The protagonist: ?

The best way for a cannon-fodder character to change his fate is to become the domineering hero's white moonlight.
So Jing Jiao keeps following the plot and bullying the protagonist, while earnestly calling him "Big Brother" over and over. On the day his family goes bankrupt, he carries a small suitcase to the protagonist's shabby rental apartment and knocks on the door.
Jing Jiao: Even though you don't like me and my family has gone bankrupt, I won't go back on my promise to fund your education until you graduate.
The protagonist: So?
Jing Jiao clutches the protagonist's clothes with a pitiful but determined look. "Let me work to support you, Big Brother."
That night, Jing Jiao watches the domineering hero, wearing a sour expression but resigned to doing his laundry. Outwardly, he says, "Big Brother, you work so hard," while secretly savoring an ice pop and basking in his own smugness.
So what if he's a domineering hero? So what if he won't listen? Just train him a little, and he'll behave. Getting the protagonist under control is easy.
Jing Jiao: (proudly) There's no bad dog I can't tame.

Jin Xichen suddenly discovers that he's the protagonist of a novel about a domineering hero's rise to power. The young master he serves every day, Jing Jiao, is actually the biggest antagonist and cannon-fodder character of his youth.
In the original story, Jing Jiao is spoiled and willful, looks down on everyone, and treats him like a dog. Even after his family goes bankrupt, he still orders Jin Xichen around and expects him to support him.
Reality is more or less the same. Jing Jiao shows up with a little bag, announces his plans, and moves right into Jin Xichen's home.
Jin Xichen watches Jing Jiao repeatedly declare, "I'm going to work and support Big Brother," and still thinks he should keep the novel and reality separate. He knows he's pathetic, but he simply wants to serve the young master.
Until one day, he discovers Jing Jiao's [Dog-Training Manual].
The first page reads: [The trick to staying alive is making the domineering hero fall in love with you.]

Jing Jiao works hard to soothe the protagonist and successfully follows the plot so he can survive. Just as he's about to pack up, break up with the protagonist, and never see him again, he notices something strange.
For example, Jin Xichen seems to be renovating a basement in a suburban villa.
And somehow, Jing Jiao can share sensations with Jin Xichen's lifelike doll.
