Playing the Character in the Script

One night in the year 467 of the New Calendar, Lin Tianshui sat in a barbecue restaurant, livestreaming himself eating grilled food.

He chattered on and on until his mouth went dry. When he checked the viewer count, there were twenty people. Another one had dropped off while he was talking.

He sighed, staring worriedly at the numbers as he reached for the grill. His hand touched something cold.

Lin Tianshui looked up. Oh, wow. It was his superstar ex-boyfriend.

His mouth twitched. He was about to turn and leave when he remembered he was livestreaming. His voice suddenly went up an octave. "Oh my gosh, are you Shen Lianyang?! O-M-G!!! I'm so excited! S-s-s-superstar, could I get your autograph?"

The next day

A little streamer from Tree Sapling TV went viral overnight after suffering a sudden bout of hysteria when he ran into a celebrity, becoming both famous and infamous across the land and even among the stars.

He really did become an interstellar sensation. The very next day, a talent scout from the planet Caris showed up at his door, promising to turn him into a comedy star and cover all his living expenses, plus a million in salary.

It sounded like a trap, but the offer was just too good.

Lin Tianshui immediately followed the scout to Caris. That very night, he was bundled into a talent show called Star-Making Project.
