Conan's Investigator Life.
Blurb:
Something seems a little off about this world. Strange urban legends lurk beneath every seemingly reasonable phenomenon.
A young detective in Beika Town opens a door. The victim, whom he personally confirmed dead half an hour ago, is gnawing on raw meat from the fridge. A golden butterfly alights in his hair, and the evil spirit responsible is destroyed. "He said he's an investigator."
A mirror brought back by tomb raiders from a friend's coffin shows strange shadows at midnight. No Longer Human cannot reach the soul of a departed friend. Something whispers in his ear: "Be careful not to break the mirror~"
A psychic black cat appears on the windowsill of an undercover Public Security agent, and the lost USB drive miraculously finds its way back into his hands. Is it an illusion? He thinks he sees two tails on that cat. "Watch out for crows?"
A young sorcerer who can't find a way out encounters a strange little boy. He appears at crime scenes at random, and for ten years, not a single trace of time has touched him. "The bitter summer... will never come again."
A psychic who calls herself a magical girl has never found salvation. A friend she'd been chatting with about the future just the night before dies without a sound, yet she clearly saw the distress signal her friend left behind. "Miracles and magic always come at a price."
The Sword of the King hangs over everyone's heads. If it falls, a million lives will be lost. Strange, were there really this many ability users before? "The source of the anomalies is the Slate!"
Are there really yokai in Natsume's Book of Friends' Yatsuhara? A boy holding a chubby cat pulls the distracted young detective out of the way of a gust of wind. "Look out!"
The young detective returns to where it all began.
"Please let me join the 'Organization.'"
"Even if you will experience meaningless deaths, a future without hope, and truths that only grow more despairing the more you learn?"
"That's part of being an investigator, isn't it?"
"Welcome to the world of investigators, Kudo Shinichi."
A crossover of Conan, Bungo Stray Dogs, K, Natsume's Book of Friends, Madoka Magica, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more.
Warnings: OOC, lots of original settings. Everyone outside the canon couples is written with platonic friendships.
Theme: Hope will surely come.
