He sees through the Fallen Battle Victorious Buddha's corrupt, deluded desire, but doesn't correct the misunderstanding that he's Jin Chanzi. When the monkey puts the golden headband back on him, he says, "You are a fool lost in love and dreams. I helped you understand your delusions. Now settle the matters of the mortal world and become a true Buddha."

He cycles through countless stories of love and resentment, breaking up unhappy couples and giving them a new chance at life.
