The superheroes seem to have all shared a past they can't speak of.
Their beloveds lie buried in cold memories.
The Man of Tomorrow: "I once had a lover..."
The Blue Soldier: "He stood by me through my darkest days..."
The Dark Knight: "He gave me comfort and peace..."
Iron Man: "I miss him so much..."
The King of Atlantis: "I regret that there are things I never got to say..."
The Asgardian god: "But I have lost the one I love forever..."
The superheroes: "He was my one and only beloved. His name was... He-Man."
The superheroes: Huh???

At death's door, He-Man chose to bind himself to a System so he could survive. He completed missions, gathered energy, and saved worlds that were destined to be destroyed.
When all the missions were over and the world's crises had been resolved, He-Man woke up as expected in a hospital bed in San Francisco. He had lost all his memories from the time he spent on the missions.
Not long afterward, He-Man traveled with his father to Baltimore. There, a murder case brought him into contact with a green-eyed young man named Jason.
He-Man and Jason soon fell in love.
Three months later, Jason disappeared.
To find his missing boyfriend and break up with him in person, He-Man followed the clues left behind by his not-quite-ex-boyfriend and went to Gotham.
On his first day in Gotham, He-Man met the famous Bruce Wayne.
Mr. Wayne seemed to lose his composure at the very first sight of him.
But He-Man didn't think much of it. He knew he was good-looking, so it was only natural that a playboy like Wayne would be attracted to him.
On his second day in Gotham, He-Man was caught in a robbery during the day. A kind blond man happened to pass by and help him.
The man's name was the same as that of Steve Rogers, the hero from history textbooks. He lost his composure the moment he saw He-Man and kept pressing him for his name.
He-Man had seen all kinds of unexpected pickup lines, so he didn't mind giving his contact information to this righteous lifesaver who shared a name with a hero.
At the end of his first week in Gotham, He-Man unfortunately ran into one of the city's trademark fireworks displays after dark.
Just as a bullet-struck chandelier was about to crash down on him, the Son of Tomorrow from Metropolis arrived in time to save him.
The alien man, hailed as a god among men, was suddenly lost for words when he saw He-Man. He-Man touched his face, almost wondering if this alien gentleman's taste was completely different from that of humans.
The longer He-Man stayed in Gotham, the more people appeared around him.
From the flamboyant Stark to the trickster god who called himself a deity, and then the legendary King of Atlantis.
Gradually, he realized that they all shared a similar secret.
Apparently, each of them once had a beloved, but for one reason or another, they had lost that person.
So He-Man quietly listened to these men tell stories about their beloveds, nodding again and again: Hmm... melodramatic, thrilling, great to hear, love it, tell me more!
The men, forced to speak in riddles because their beloved had amnesia: ...When is this guy finally going to remember that he's the beloved in these stories? (Screaming)!!!
Mr. Jason "Back-from-the-Dead" Todd brushed a white lock of hair away from his forehead: Stop fighting, the real boyfriend is right here (smug.jpg)!
He-Man: Hello, ex-boyfriend.
Jason: ...
