My Ex-Husband Keeps Pushing His Luck

Lin Wan has had enough of married life with Gu Qingyu.

Not one of his family members or relatives likes her. They think she schemed her way into the family by getting pregnant, and whenever they meet, they never give her a kind word.

He is busy with work and may not come home even once in a week.

Her in-laws insist that she cannot go out to work, so she spends her days alone in a cold, empty mansion, with no idea how to pass the endless hours. Lin Wan feels hollow and lonely.

She keeps compromising for the sake of the marriage, but nothing ever gets better.

Lin Wan and Gu Qingyu divorce, and she takes nothing with her.

From then on, the sky is wide enough for birds to fly, and the sea vast enough for fish to swim.

She rents a place, finds a job, and plans to start dating again.

But just as she is getting ready for a sweet new romance, her ex-husband repeatedly ruins her dates.

He always has an excuse:

"Lin Wan, our daughter has a cold and wants her mom."

"Our son got into a fight with someone at kindergarten. I'm in a meeting, so handle it."

"It's their first stage performance. You're not coming?"

It's all for the children, so Lin Wan puts up with it.

But her ex-husband pushes his luck, and Lin Wan lets her prospective boyfriend down again and again. At last, he snaps and cuts ties with her.

At her wit's end, Lin Wan calls her ex-husband and gives him a furious dressing-down.

That night, in the rain, Gu Qingyu stands beneath Lin Wan's rented apartment, drenched and utterly miserable.

Looking up at the light in Lin Wan's window, his eyes bloodshot, Gu Qingyu calls her and says, "Wanwan, I was wrong. I regret it."

*Rekindling an old flame. The male lead is the ex-husband.

*Daily life with the kids. The children are geniuses (not really), and their mom is anything but heartless.

*She sincerely dates a new prospective boyfriend, but who knew her ex would be such a jerk, pulling out one trick after another?

*The divorce comes after she truly loses hope and lets go. The reconciliation comes after the male lead goes through his own personal hell time and again, begging for forgiveness on his knees.
