Jiang Ning and her boyfriend of three months had another big fight over something trivial.

Her boyfriend said that work mattered more to her than he did, that she ignored him, didn't love him, and didn't care about his feelings. He kept making a scene and demanding they break up.

Agreeing to date Jiang Ning was the most out-of-character decision Chen Zui had ever made. He thought that getting a girlfriend would usher his life into a new chapter.

He never expected it to be the start of his becoming a high-maintenance boyfriend.

His girlfriend was a workaholic. Meetings mattered more than him, writing proposals mattered more than him, her coworkers mattered more than him, clients mattered more than him, and even the cat at her company mattered more than him!

How could he not make a fuss?

One day, thoroughly enraged,

he broke up with her in a fit of anger.

* They met through a matchmaking setup. The story starts when they first meet. At first, the female lead is captivated by the male lead's looks, and she makes the first move. She regrets it like crazy later, but by then it's too late.
