Ju Qianchun is famous among her friends for being a walking jinx at work. People say you should love whatever job you do, but her specialty is making every industry she joins go under.
Fortunately, after she jinxed several companies into collapse, she found a job with top-tier pay and benefits, flexible hours, no time clock, and no office attendance requirement.
After years of working there, the company was still going strong, with no sign of going under. Ju Qianchun thought she could spend the rest of her career there.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans. Her nightmare began when she was transferred to the company's famously cutthroat Japan branch.
First, she was given several jobs at once, supposedly to develop her into a versatile employee.
Then came layoffs that hit the company where it hurt most, accomplishing nothing but harming everyone.
Worst of all, her lunch buddies all quit one after another amid the endless reforms.
Ju Qianchun was tough. Even if the company treated her terribly, she still treated it like her first love. Well... a first love she was always ready to break up with by jumping ship.
What a joke. The company was going under, and she still wasn't leaving? Did she think she was an idiot?
As it turned out, she really was an idiot.
When she ran into her lunch buddies again at her new company, she was completely dumbfounded. Seriously, nobody told her this industry was such a small world!
What industry does she work in, you ask? To tell the truth, she's always worked in the criminal underworld.
I've revised my upcoming story. It's still set in a detective-fiction world, but the premise has changed: a veteran employee of the liquor organization becomes an amateur detective. The female lead goes from villain to hero, and the pairing is undecided, but it'll be one of her lunch buddies.
Theme: Be careful when looking for a job!
