[Updating every other day ^ ^]
If the world were about to end, what could you do with your abilities?
Le Chuan thinks he could raise a bird and, while he's at it, figure out how to build it a handmade bird mansion.
After a meteor shower, the world changes beyond recognition. Countless strange creatures crawl out of the fallen meteorites, claim territory, and infect humans.
The meteor shower also smashes Le Chuan's future to pieces.
Before the world changed, he was a brilliant rising star, the decisive captain of a special operations unit, with a string of achievements to his name and a bright future ahead.
On the first day after the world changed, Le Chuan awakens a special ability.
On the second day, a friend betrays him, his ability disappears, and his team disbands.
Six months later, he's been sidelined and reassigned. People who could never have gotten near him before now sneer at him.
"Let me feel your feathers, and I'll tell you my grand plan for revenge."
Le Chuan reaches out to Lu Ran with an utterly serious expression.
Lu Ran looks at him with disdain, but honestly covers Le Chuan's hand with his warm, soft belly feathers and urges him on. "There, happy? Hurry up and tell me."
But Le Chuan is a shameless rogue who refuses to keep his word once he gets what he wants. He raises an eyebrow. "You're going to be involved in the whole thing anyway. Why are you even asking me?"
If the appearance of the strange creatures turned the whole world upside down and sent him plummeting into the abyss in an instant,
then Lu Ran's arrival was the most important turning point in his life, carrying him back up from the bottom.
Lu Ran pauses, then flies into a rage. "Le Chuan, how dare you trick me!"
He flaps his wings, about to leave, but the next second Le Chuan catches him and has him wrapped around his little finger.
The next morning, people from the Bureau of Anomalous Affairs watch without surprise as Lu Ran marches ahead in a fury, while their director, Le Chuan, follows close behind with a delighted expression.
An old hand who has watched the two of them come this far sighs with feeling. "Looks like today will be another happy day."
The new recruit asks, baffled, "How can you tell?"
The veteran explains, "Director Le looks like he's in a great mood. Today, whether it's a meeting or a work report, everything will go smoothly. That's win number one."
"Brother Lu looks furious right now. When he's angry, he's especially efficient, so everyone who has to work with him today is in luck. That's win number two."
"And seeing these two put on this little show at the entrance every morning is the best part of all. That's a grand slam!"
The recruit: "."
The recruit: "So no one does anything when Brother Lu gets mad?"
The veteran shakes his head meaningfully, indicating that this mystery must be observed firsthand.
The recruit: "?"
By noon that day, the recruit understands.
In the director's office, Le Chuan is still diligently improving the all-natural, eco-friendly bird mansion that takes up half the room. Lu Ran, who was so angry that morning he didn't want to speak to Le Chuan, is now crouched beside him.
The two of them chatter away together, finally ending with Lu Ran smugly leaning over to let Le Chuan kiss him.
The recruit: "."
All right, watching a scene like this every day really is delightful!
