In the original story, the male lead, Helian Ze, has weak spiritual power and suffers humiliation from everyone in his sect. But through one trial after another, he grows stronger, eventually becoming a genius with all spiritual roots who can conquer the world with a single sword and command wealth and beautiful women.

Ning Huaiyu, meanwhile, is killed by a thousand swords after plotting to make the male lead fall off a cliff.

Faced with this plot, Ning Xu says: Is it too late to go down the mountain now?
