Preorder: The Rich Wives' Afternoon Tea Mystery Hour 2 [Republican Era]
One month after my rich boyfriend and I broke up, I heard that his entire family had been massacred.
At the most famous Du Mansion on Luofeng Mountain, the master of the house, Du Bowei, was obsessed with raising birds. The estate was mockingly known as the "Caged Bird Manor." After murdering his wife and son, he killed himself. All three bodies were found at the scene, their deaths horrifying.
As someone who had once been in contact with the family, I was invited to the final funeral at Caged Bird Manor.
Amid a sea of black suits and white silk flowers, the handsome Huo Maoqian caught my attention. He told me he was the lawyer in charge of handling the Du family's estate.
I had a strong feeling he would be my next boyfriend.

| All-female detective team | Each has a love interest | The men are all supporting characters
#Closet packed with perfectly tailored gold-thread velvet qipaos, so many cream pancakes at the Dongshuiwei Road Hotel that I've had my fill
Song Fangsheng, the beloved daughter of a diplomat, was praised by her father's friends as "the most beautiful pearl in the Far East." To preserve her lavish high-society lifestyle, she followed her father's arrangement and married Gu Junsheng, the police chief, whom she had never met. Her husband, whom she had no feelings for, was rarely home, so Fangsheng often invited people over for afternoon tea in their enormous mansion.
Ye Qiurong was a gold digger in every sense of the word. She fought tooth and nail, beating countless starlets and socialites in Shanghai's high society before finally marrying into the Du family, headed by the chairman of China's number-one business association. Her husband, Du Cheng'en, was thirty-two, and he doted without limits on his thirteen-years-younger beauty. She didn't have to do anything except sleep.
Shen Liman had just lost her husband. Her three-year-old son was in the care of her mother-in-law. By day, she rode around Shanghai in a car, listening to "Evening Primrose" at theaters, drinking coffee at Meike Cafe, and losing herself in the music and dancing beneath the neon lights.
But Shanghai, even when bathed in bright sunlight, could not illuminate the tormented ghosts haunting its shadows.
One day, the three rich wives came together after finding a greeting letter written by someone who had been dead for ten years. The bright camellia seal on the envelope shimmered with a silvery light.
"Since we have nothing better to do, why don't we open it and take a look?"
Reading guide:
1. The three heroines get equal page time, though the story is told mostly from Song Fangsheng's perspective.
2. The husbands don't appear much, and each romance has a different dynamic: a marriage that turns to love, a long-planned courtship, and a variety of ways to train a dog.
2-1. The police chief is the strongest, the chairman has the most tricks, and Liman's love interest will remain a secret for now.
3. A case-of-the-week mystery with little romance.
4. I've screenshotted the blurb's concept. Long live originality.
5. The second book is expected to start posting at the end of the year.
Theme: With light in your heart, there is a path beneath your feet.
Both the name and the content are very Japanese, especially those of Ayatsuji Yukito: the amazing sense of truth hidden behind the story that supports the development of the entire story. Although I guessed the identity of the heroine early, I was still surprised. The setting of a selfish and unfeeling gambler and a beautiful man is really excellent. It is really good that it does not focus on describing Qiao Yunzhi's psychological line. Her kindness and her evil are not suitable for being stared at. Staring means to be judged, but it should never be Qiao Yunzhi and Huang Li who need to be judged. The cases are arranged very delicately, without any redundant plot, and it is really enjoyable.
Nice looking teacher! It's so well written, if you say this is a sequel to the Ayatsuji Pedestrian Museum series, I'll believe it!
It's so well written!!
It's so well written!!
It's so well written!!
I think the teacher especially likes to make prisoners talk at length hahahahaha But it can be said that it is a very powerful output word.
Teacher, do you want to write a script? .
Oh yo, I think I guessed who it is
The "Huaishan Tree" caught the author a big bug~ Huaishan tree
I'm so good at writing and I'm so engrossed in reading it. I really like this concept. It focuses on the power of women. I'm looking forward to it.
