Mystery and Investigation | Forceful Possession | Pregnancy and Regret
The same type of story, Afternoon Tea Mysteries for the Rich [Republican Era], is now available.
Romance:
As the sixth son of the Northern Song emperor, Pei Yanlin was proud and aloof, looking down on everyone. He had guarded the frontier for years. On his way back to the capital, he rescued a young woman. When he was under the influence of an aphrodisiac, she risked her life to save him. Though he had many reservations, he had no choice but to take her back to Bianjing.
“The position of principal consort? Given her status, she is certainly unworthy of it.”
It was not until the day of the crown prince's accession ceremony, when Pei Yanlin had ascended to the highest position, that he saw the young woman who once smiled brightly and nestled tenderly by his side kneel before the emperor, voluntarily resign from her post as deputy commissioner of the Court of Judicial Review, and ask to leave Bianjing. The crown prince, so cool and proud in the eyes of others, clenched his robes and wept in private.
He resented her endless lies, yet could not give up their fierce entanglement.
“She told me countless times that she liked me. Only now do I understand why she never asked if I liked her too.”
The next day, inside a carriage leaving the city, a young woman in pink, with a slender waist and cloudlike hair, sat with a rosy face. Hearing the clatter of hooves as someone raced to catch up, she saw a handsome young man in a golden crown and embroidered robes raise his striking brows. His eyes fixed on Song Wanxin, filled with unwilling restraint.
“I was once the person closest to him, yet I was also the person in this world least entitled to love him.”
Plot:
No one knew that a young female coroner in men's clothing in Fancheng, Northern Song, was actually the daughter of a disgraced minister of the Kingdom of Dali. After her family was destroyed, Song Wanxin grew up struggling to survive in a harsh world. With her naturally keen sense of smell and medical knowledge, she helped the local authorities solve countless cases and carved out a little place for herself.
Just as she thought revenge would be impossible in this lifetime, Heaven suddenly delivered her enemy's son right to her doorstep.

Song Fangsheng, the beloved daughter of a diplomat, is praised by her father's friends as “the most beautiful pearl of the Far East.” To preserve her glittering, indulgent life among the elite, she obeys her father's arrangements and marries Gu Junsheng, a police chief she has never met. Her husband, who feels nothing for her, is rarely home, so Fangsheng often invites people to tea in her spacious mansion.
Ye Qiurong is a gold-digging woman in every sense of the word. After fighting her way past countless actresses and socialites in Shanghai's high society, she finally marries into the Duan family, headed by the president of China's foremost chamber of commerce. Her husband, Duan Cheng'en, is thirty-two and dotes on the beauty thirteen years his junior without limit. She does not have to do a thing besides sleep with him.
Shen Liman has just lost her husband. Her three-year-old son is in the care of her mother-in-law. By day, she rides in a car around Shanghai, listening to “Fragrance of the Night” at its many theaters and drinking Maxwell coffee. At night, she loses herself in music and dancing beneath the neon lights.
But Shanghai, even when sunlight pours over it and illuminates every corner, cannot light up the vengeful spirits dying in the shadows.
One day, three wealthy ladies come together after finding a greeting letter written by someone who died ten years ago. The vivid camellia on its sealing wax still glimmers with a silvery light.
“Since we have nothing better to do, why don't we open it and have a look?”
Reader's Guide:
1. The three heroines have equal parts, though the story is told mostly from Song Fangsheng's perspective.
2. The husbands have limited roles, and each romance has a different dynamic: marriage before love, long-laid plans, and all kinds of taming.
Theme: Youth has its own charms. Why should I fear the course of my life?

"I am sure there is no one who can do anything" is a big bug for the author ~ suspicious
Click the claw!!! (Actually, I also feel that the second half is stretched a bit too much [bursts into tears] It's so annoying!
I feel a little reluctant to leave after reading it! Overall it seems like a really good article. The writing style is good (σ≧?≦). The writing is great. I like it very much!! Emotions and career go hand in hand! The female protagonist is beautiful and good at pursuing a career. The male protagonist is dark and loves to act coquettishly. I really like it. What I find a bit difficult to accept is why it took Nunu three years to tell Zhengzheng that he was Pei's child. I feel that the timeline has been stretched too long. I was tortured to the point of moaning.
The end is about spreading flowers~ They will continue to be happy 💪
I've watched the first part, but I've fast forwarded and skipped a bit at the end. About 70% of the time, I felt it was okay before going back to the palace. The characters and the plot of solving the crime were quite exciting, so I went back to see how the popularity of the homepage was so so-so with such a well-written story. After the darkening, there were too many pulls, back-and-forth angry quarrels and illness. It can be bloody, but it made me a little tired after watching it too many times, so that my patience and love for the male and female protagonists were exhausted. This is how I felt in the second half of the book. Another point is that I suggest that the tone of the male protagonist can be more consistent with that of a prince who kills enemies on the border. Sometimes his tone is too immature. I wish the author better and better~
Hahaha, clingy Pei Xiu dog
Come on, spread the flowers~ (Let's go see it now)
