Fu Nanli transmigrates to a primitive beastfolk world with his phone. Luckily, it still gets reception, but the only one he can call is his own cat, A Xuan.
A man and a cat stare at each other from opposite sides of the screen.
Fu Nanli has to support himself in the beastfolk world and also take care of the cat he left behind on Earth.
Luckily, his combat skills are maxed out. He makes bows, hunts, and fills his granary. Even in this primitive world, he can eat well and stay warm, and he even has the energy to join a beastfolk tribe and somehow become its shaman.
But being a shaman is no easy task. Life in this primitive era is harsh, and famine and epidemics are rampant.
Fortunately, the one-way passage he fell through hasn't closed. At last, Fu Nanli gets his long-awaited golden finger: cat-delivered packages.
A wounded peacock beastfolk trembles at his infected injury, claiming he's been cursed by decay.
Fu Nanli silently pulls out a bottle of iodine.
The crops grown by the rabbit tribe keep withering and dying, and they cry that the Beast God has forsaken them.
Fu Nanli starts leafing through Essential Techniques for the Common People. Crop rotation problems? Let me teach you how to farm!
The oasis where the sand lizard tribe lives is steadily deteriorating, and they grieve that their home is slowly dying.
Fu Nanli pulls out a saxaul sapling. I'm an expert at stopping desertification.
What other superstitions are there? I'll smash them all with sheer force!
Sucking up to his adorable cat who does his shopping for him, Fu Nanli relies on the packages his cat air-drops to enjoy a life of abundant supplies and fluffy companionship.
But as he keeps doting on the cat, its personality suddenly takes a turn.
While Fu Nanli eats his 10,086th batch of burnt fish, the cat sighs and cooks four dishes and a soup.
While Fu Nanli sews his 10,086th ruined outfit, the cat sighs and opens Taobao, shopping from winter through summer.
While Fu Nanli struggles through a farming guide he bought, the cat sighs and tosses him a set of notes.
What a good cat, such a good cat. Fu Nanli basks in the happiness of watching his good boy grow up and make something of himself, never noticing that his boy's filial devotion is slowly changing into something else.
Until he meets the mysterious divine envoy and shaman at the Beastfolk Royal Court...
Fu Nanli: Hahaha, A Xuan, why are you looking more and more like Mo Xuan, the divine envoy and shaman?
The little cat sighs, transforms into Mo Xuan, and eats Fu Nanli in one bite.
A few tips before reading:
1. Some of the knowledge in this story is made up by an author who knows nothing. Don't take it too seriously, don't take it too seriously TvT
2. The pacing is slow, and the golden finger shows up rather late.
3. Hunting in the early part, farming in the middle, and a little bit of infrastructure development toward the end. The farming and development sections aren't too extensive, and most of it is the author making stuff up.
Message: Respect nature and respect life.
The widowed and lonely old man Mo Xuan 🐶
"A large number of tribesmen are fighting" is a big bug for the author~
The "scholar's big cat look" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ With
