In the chaotic final days, Xu Zhaobai accidentally kills someone.
While disposing of the body, he encounters an old woman.
The woman raises lots of cats: black, white, gray...
The cats are watching you. The cats like you very much.
A few reading tips:
1. This may be more of a horror story (though I don't think it's scary, I thought I'd give you a warning).
2. This isn't a power fantasy. The protagonist is pretty pathetic.
3. This is a side character's story from my series, "My Infected Coworkers Are Always So Absurd." I'm using it to get some practice.
Theme: If you wrestle with a dragon for too long, you become a dragon yourself.
