The Cursed Spirits Begged Me to Stop Farming

A mysterious System suddenly appears before Ye, a university student.

Having grown up in Yokohama, she's seen all kinds of things. She rubs her chin, calmly clicks Confirm, and starts the game.

[To protect your manor, build a fence!]

Building a fence requires lumber, so Ye rolls up her sleeves and starts chopping down trees. But she gets taken away by the police for damaging the city's greenery.

Since cutting down trees is prohibited in the city, she simply rushes to the forest on the outskirts in the middle of the night and carries off all the lumber.

The next morning, the Jujutsu High students wake up to find the area around their school completely bald: ???

[Your crops are being eaten by mice! Take measures against the infestation!]

Ye has an instinctive aversion to mice, so she opens the System shop and buys a rodent-control set.

The next day, a standee of a black-clad, silver-haired man with a terrifying smile is standing primly in the lush seedbed.

An unlucky employee from a well-known water company walks by and faints from fright.

After farming alone for a while, Ye realizes she needs more help. She looks at the System screen and clicks Recruit Employees.

And then... she gets a few seeds.

[Grow the employees you want most!]

Ye: ??

Fine, whatever.

She waters and fertilizes them. The seeds sprout, and she harvests several tiny, transparent floating companions.

A reddish-brown-haired man who loves curry:

[With his gentle nature and extensive experience as a dad, he's sure to become a thoughtful housekeeper who always knows what you need!]

A black-haired man with a scar on his chin:

[Strong and full of boundless energy, he's a natural at working the fields!]

A young man with half-long hair and drooping eyes:

[Charming and skilled behind the wheel, he's an experienced driver to guide you on the road!]

Ye: ...

These descriptions seem a little suspicious. I'm not sure. Let's wait and see.

As her companions multiply, the broke shut-in Ye reluctantly steps outside and starts fighting monsters for materials.

What's this? A Grade 3 Curse. Hit it once.

What's this? A Grade 1 Curse. Take it away to work as forced labor.

What's this? A Special Grade Cursed Object. Never seen one before. Steal it.

After a while, Ye gets it.

Are these Curses? They're clearly her precious means of production!

"Japanese law applies to natural persons, corporations, and unincorporated organizations. In other words, Curses aren't protected by labor laws, are they?"

"Is that your excuse for making Curses work around the clock?!"

The volcano-headed Curse, who has been working nonstop for months, weeps tears of blood as it protests. "At least give us six days on, one day off!"

Ye: "Shut up. The hot spring water's gone cold. Go heat it up before the guests complain."

Reader's Note:

A farming and management story with a Fourth Calamity protagonist. The female lead is a ruthless boss who has absolutely no conscience when it comes to Curses.

There is a romance, but not much of it. Unless something unexpected happens, the pairing will be Hagiwara. The male lead is all beauty and grace, while the female lead farms to support the family.

A fun story. Just enjoy it.
