She Is a Demon

Rumor had it that the Four Great Evils were ruthless and cruel, guilty of every crime under the sun. They had stolen an ancient divine map and fled, leaving the living beings of the world to suffer.

The Divine Official issued an order: Anyone in the three realms who could kill them would receive a divine seal and be granted a place among the immortals.

At that very moment, Jiang Du stared at the four people inside her spiritual residence and the hastily scribbled drawing, and fell silent.

The Four Evils: "Our one and only disciple, inherit our legacy. Become the fifth great evil cultivator and destroy the world!"

Jiang Du: "..."

Hey! She's only a three-year-old toddler. Isn't this asking a little too much of her?

The serious blurb:

Jiang Du's life was full of hardship. She had no family and no one to rely on. She had been a slave at the very bottom of society, and she had even rested her head on an immortal's bones.

She had traveled through the human world, visited the ninety-nine layers of mountains, killed a Sword Venerable, and hacked down gods and Buddhas.

She was the evil demon feared by everyone in the three realms.

[Things to know before reading]

1. The heroine is mercenary, servile, and selfish. If you can't accept that, stop reading immediately.

2. My own take on cultivation, a very long story, folk-customs inspired, slow-paced and full of melodrama.

3. The heroine spends a long time growing up as a child. There isn't much romance, and the male lead is more or less a background character.

4. Not a power fantasy, not a power fantasy, not a power fantasy! Important! She can't knock out everyone with one punch. Most of the time, she's scrabbling to get by, tricking others and getting tricked herself.

5. The author loves villains, so there probably aren't many good people in this book. If that's not for you, stop reading in time.

Theme: Adversity reveals true strength.
