The Hardest Matchmaker in History

As a low-ranking civil servant who had diligently worked in the Matchmaker Hall of Heaven for hundreds of years, Yan Ling had a crush on a godlike man. He was Heaven's most popular heartthrob, adored by all and utterly unattainable. Like everyone else, Yan Ling could only admire him from afar.

But he had a little secret.

Every night, he dreamed that his idol would come to his door holding a bouquet of roses, smiling tenderly, more dazzling than the sun.

One day, he accidentally lost a few pages from the Book of Marriage. As fate would have it, they contained the match between him and his idol!

Punished and sent down to the mortal realm to retrieve those pages, he discovered that his partner was none other than his idol!

Yan Ling, starry-eyed: I can do this! I'm super sweet!

But in the very next moment, his aloof idol publicly dissed him.

Idol: Don't come near me, you miserable peasant.

Yan Ling: ???
