[Short story complete] Many years ago, the man codenamed Gin adopted a child in Japan to make himself look more trustworthy. It was pretend, but since he was playing a father, he did his best to be a good one. Save him, raise him, teach him, give him love, then die in front of him. Many years later, Gin opened his eyes and found himself risen from the dead, with an old man calling him “Father.” Gin: ... The world had changed with every passing day, and he was nothing but a lonely soul returned from the dead. The first thing Gin did was pick out a good gun. I tagged this as a bittersweet ending because the protagonist dies, but I personally don’t think it’s that tragic. No one is saved, but everyone survives. Their survival is all that’s guaranteed. 3. There are lots of original characters. I mean the System. 4. There’s plenty of stuff that’s neither scientific nor Conan-logic. But they’re saving the world, so that’s understandable, right? Haha.
