Mr. Kurosawa of Beika Town

[Main story complete, extras updating] One early morning, as Mr. Kurosawa was cutting up a corpse, a voice rang out in his head. “The world is about to end. Go save it!” Mr. Kurosawa, who had been working for forty-eight hours straight: “The world’s ending? Great. Let it end.” The System, which had traveled a long way to save the world: ... The System tried a different approach: “Actually, I can do lots of things besides saving the world. I can bring the dead back to life, turn back time...” Mr. Kurosawa: “Can you write my autopsy reports for me?” System: “Um... I can’t directly interfere with reality...” Mr. Kurosawa: “Can you take out Shinichi Kudo?” System: “Um... anyone but him...” Mr. Kurosawa: “What use are you, then?” The System thought for a long while, then gritted its teeth. “Actually, it’s not impossible...” Mr. Kurosawa: “Taking out Shinichi Kudo?” System: “I meant writing your reports!” 1. A story about Mr. Kurosawa, a forensic examiner in Beika Town, and his automatic report-writing machine saving the world. Gin isn’t exactly dark, but he isn’t all that good either. No pairing. 2. No one is saved, but everyone survives. Their survival is all that’s guaranteed. 3. There are lots of original characters. I mean the System. 4. I know absolutely nothing about Japan’s police and forensic systems. Half the details are researched and half are made up. If anything seems wrong, well, Beika has its own rules. 5. There’s plenty of stuff that’s neither scientific nor Conan-logic. But they’re saving the world, so that’s understandable, right? Haha. As a creature that feeds on love and death, )8%&5 should have been living the high life in Beika Town. Unfortunately, it was born in the wrong place and nearly starved to death in the freezing Siberian wilderness. Just as )8%&5 was about to faint from hunger, about to become the first eldritch god to starve before growing up, the scent of food suddenly arose from the desolate landscape. A silver-haired man passed by, his body steeped in the stench of death. The young eldritch god had its first full meal. And so it followed its instincts and went after the food. Toward love and death. Gin was certain something was wrong. On the first day, it was a little black snake trying to crawl up his pant leg. On the second day, it was a black kitten curled up in the trunk of his car. On the third day, it was a black hamster hiding in a warehouse. On the fourth day, Gin caught a baby crow trying to land on his hat. He stared into the strange red eyes in its black face, eyes he had seen four times now “What the hell are you?” Under the gaze of the great chef, )8%&5 transformed into its true form. Its dark body unfurled and expanded, taking on a bizarre shape that could neither be defined nor predicted. Boundless malice emerged, and to look at it was to gaze into an abyss. Gin held the writhing black slime and fell into thought: Whatever it is, it doesn’t look very threatening. In the past, he would probably have tossed the thing into the Organization’s lab. But now, the silver-haired killer turned his fingers as a cool, fleshy sensation slid across his palm. A pleased smile appeared on the man’s face. He grabbed the creature as it tried to wriggle into his sleeve. “Change back,” Gin said. “I’m taking you with me.” Just as a storm began to gather over the Organization, Gin encountered a monster. It would devour the storm. 1. The pairing is the protagonist × Gin, with the protagonist as the top. When grown, the protagonist can take human form, or imitate all sorts of other things. 2.
