Interstellar + mecha + competition
As the owner of one of the empire's rare S-rank healing-type spirit forms, Qin Song has been the champion team's star support ever since joining the mecha league. Everyone considers her the empire's future Goddess of Healing.
Unfortunately, an accident destroyed her spirit form and severely damaged her S-rank healing mecha, Tian Lu.
Her former teammates all enrolled at elite military academies, leading their respective teams to compete for the ultimate honor of becoming champions.
Meanwhile, in her hospital room, Qin Song glances at an invitation to join an elite military academy's general studies program, then casually tosses it into the trash.
So what if her spirit form is ruined? Who says a healer can't switch to dealing damage?
She opens StarNet and searches:
"Which military academy's mecha department accepts solo fighters without spirit forms? Must have good cafeteria food."
Someone quickly replies with enthusiasm:
[Obviously Triton Military Academy, the bottom of the military academy league, which always gets knocked out in the first round of the mecha league and begs people to apply.]

Two months into the new school year, a new student suddenly transfers into the mecha department of Triton Military Academy, a school thought to have lost all its former glory.
The new student has pale skin and a frail build, looking like she might collapse in a gust of wind. She seems completely out of place among the hulking solo fighters in the mecha department.
The contrast is so outrageous that Triton Military Academy's forum explodes that very day.
[A pretty face should know its place. Is Qin Song joining the mecha department to charm her opponents into forfeiting?]
The comments below are all over the place, but no one thinks much of this sickly new student. Amid the mockery, people flock to watch the mecha department's first ranking match, eager to see just how badly this sickly girl with nothing but a pretty face will get beaten.
When the rankings are posted, everyone falls silent at the sight of Qin Song, who has left the runner-up far behind.
And later...
"The value of a dual-form spirit is unreal." "Witness the birth of the God of Damage." "Where the spear points, Tian Lu treads among the stars"...
Everyone: So this is how you properly switch from support to damage!

Before the finals, a video of pre-match trash talk goes viral across StarNet.
"Qin Song?" Her former teammate scoffs, then boasts arrogantly, "When she was on the team, she couldn't even kill an A-rank aberrant. Now that her healing ability is gone, she's just a 'fallen star.' Without damage dealers protecting her, she wouldn't last half an hour. I can make her cry and leave the match in thirty minutes."
Half an hour into the match...
Her former teammate is stabbed through the cockpit by a silver-white mecha and tumbles out in a sorry heap, landing on his knees in front of a girl wearing a silver-white uniform.
Beside Qin Song, Tian Lu, the spirit form everyone once believed could only heal, raises its head and cries out, using its spiritual power to wipe out every aberrant attacking them.
The girl smiles, her eyes curving as she uses her spear to lift him off the ground.
"Trash. I didn't kill the aberrants back then because I was feeding you energy."

[Reader's Guide]
1. Lots of original worldbuilding. This is my take on an interstellar setting.
2. The heroine is as described in the blurb: a violent genius girl, cool on the outside and mean-spirited.
3. Many one-sided crushes. The male lead is set.
Theme: Anything is possible
