Fein thought his life had been strange lately.
The storage room he hadn't cleaned in ages was suddenly spotless. The appliances he'd carelessly forgotten to turn off were already switched off by the time he remembered them. And lately, he'd been having the same dream over and over.
It all began last week, when he went out to watch a meteor shower and brought home a meteorite he'd found.
In his dream, the meteorite he'd brought home would glow with a strange silvery-white light in the middle of the night. It would float up, move around, even fly upstairs to the bedroom and drift over to his bed, watching him sleep.
Then one night, Fein suddenly woke from what he thought was a sound sleep and discovered that his dreams had all been real.
The meteorite was floating silently in front of him. After "watching" him jolt awake and sit up, it drifted gently through the air.
Fein heard the meteorite speak to him:
"Hello, human of Blue Star."
