[Dune] The Heart of House Atreides

Pat Sloc is a guard of House Atreides, willing to give his life for the family.

He loves the sea beneath Caladan's mist, but amid the endless sands, the individual will is always the most fragile thing.

[Those who know why they live can survive.]

For gratitude, for revenge, for eternity. For House Atreides. To serve Paul Atreides faithfully.

Beneath sorrow, only the boundless universe endures.

It's... just a pure-love story. The pairing is probably Paul, but it may not be very obvious, so you could read it as having no couple, too (maybe, maybe)...

(Presses palms together and kneels) I'm truly sorry if this pairing or setup offends anyone!

The author has only watched the movies and read a little of the original novel. Please forgive any shortcomings in the characterizations or lack of familiarity with the terminology!

I finished Dune: Part Two, then watched Dune: Part One. This was inspired by my crush on Paul...

A pure-love setup like this is genuinely hard to write. The author lacks imagination, so the story may not do justice to the grand world of Dune. This is a self-indulgent work written just for myself.

Also, I'm absolutely in love with Timothee Chalamet's looks in Dune: Part One, his commanding presence in Part Two, and... quietly fell for that cousin-in-law for a few seconds.
