Jin Rou (Reborn)

Xu Jinrou had a hard life.

Her father and brothers disliked her, and her mother favored the fake heiress she had raised by her side.

The only sweetness she ever tasted came from Xie Xingyun.

Sadly, neither of them met a good end.

Two cups of poisoned wine took both their lives.

As she lay dying, she gripped Xie Xingyun's hand and said, "If there's a next life, I want to spend it by your side forever."

Xie Xingyun nodded too.

Later, Heaven truly gave her the chance to live again. Overjoyed, she hurried to see Xie Xingyun.

Beneath a cascade of wisteria blossoms, she saw two figures standing close together. The legitimate elder sister she had hated all her life held Xie Xingyun's hand and pleaded, "Brother Xingyun, why don't you marry her? Then I can finally rest easy."

Xu Jinrou's heart sank. She heard Xie Xingyun answer in a strained voice, "All right. I'll marry her."

Xie Xingyun thought he would love Xu Jinning for the rest of his life.

But as he drank the poisoned wine, he saw the frail figure beside him calmly and resolutely accept death with him.

Suddenly, he realized he had fallen for her long ago.
