This story was abandoned unfinished. Don't start reading! Feel free to check out my upcoming novel, The Mute Slave. Its blurb is at the very bottom.

In the thirteenth year of Qianyuan, the Yan family was executed for treason. In a single day, Yan Xi went from being the daughter of a high-ranking minister to a prisoner in the Junning Palace.
Jun Ning was infamous for her ruthlessness and capricious temper. She would stop at nothing to seize the throne, yet she insisted on protecting Yan Xi, treating her like a friend and making sure everyone saw how well she treated her.
Yan Xi became Jun Ning's personal maid. The first gift she received was a dagger from Jun Ning, who taught her to use it for self-defense and gave her hope that she could clear the Yan family's name.
Yan Xi swore loyalty to Jun Ning, repeatedly risking her life to protect her, even willing to trade her own life for hers.
As time passed, even Yan Xi failed to notice that she had fallen in love with Jun Ning. The gulf between their stations and Jun Ning's ignorance of her feelings filled her heart with anguish.
She thought she would spend the rest of her life this way. Then Jun Ning failed to seize the throne and underwent a drastic change in temperament. She became warm and considerate, even asking Yan Xi if she wanted to be her consort.
Yan Xi thought Jun Ning had finally realized how she felt, and her heart soared with joy. But on a rainy night, she was told she was being sent away.
Jun Ning was as cold as if she had become another person.
How about changing to another one? Can this pair still be together? This...
Be! Forget about being a substitute! Don't cherish it yet! I feel sorry for my little Yanyan.
The author should change the name of the article to "I will never be Jun Ning's licking dog again", haha???
It's still stand-in literature... [ Bursts into tears ] Yan is too miserable, right?
It's not consistent with the text. The text first asks for a heart-cutting and then learns that the incident in the Yan family was caused by Jun Shang. Here, the truth is already known but still asks for a heart-cutting. It feels too romantic.
What a love brain. When I heard that the Yan family was destroyed by Jun, my first reaction was to hope that she would not abandon him. I originally thought that Yan would be able to toughen up.
The liver is shaking because of abuse, is Yan Yan a proper love brain?
This introduction is completely biased, right?
When Jun Ning said Yan tide was not good enough, she really wanted to hit someone [angry]
Is the fourth paragraph of the copywriting about exchanging lives for lives wrong?
