[Haikyuu!!] Shiratorizawa Has a Lot of Problems

Just before his second year, Takeshita Yuya became the new captain of Shiratorizawa’s volleyball club.

After initially doubting himself, he strengthened his resolve to lead Shiratorizawa to the top.

Then, in April, Shiratorizawa welcomed its new first-years:

Ushijima Wakatoshi, a volleyball-brained idiot who has absolutely no idea how to read the room

Tendo Satori, whose thought process takes so many twists and turns that talking to him is impossible

Semi Eita, with the face of a playboy but a truly terrible sense of style

Ohira... the only normal one! Ohira Shion!!

Takeshita: Shiratorizawa can’t lose Ohira Shion, just as the West can’t lose Jerusalem.

Ohira: ?

Semi complained to Miyauchi Rin, who had been forced to become the boys’ volleyball club manager because Shiratorizawa didn’t have a martial arts club.

Semi: Rin-senpai! The captain just said Ohira is the only normal one on the team! But I’m normal too!

Miyauchi: What, you think Takeshita is normal?

Semi: ?

Semi: Please don’t just ignore the second half of what I said.

And finally,

after their last Spring High match in high school,

Takeshita and Miyauchi stood outside the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, the corners of both their eyes still red.

Miyauchi: So, did you achieve the goal you started out with?

Takeshita: Ah, I guess I didn’t.

Miyauchi: ...And you’re still smiling even though you didn’t make it.

Takeshita: Because getting to play volleyball with those guys

Takeshita: made me really happy!
