[Western Fantasy] Don't Fall for a Lunatic

The young man who liked putting gooseberries in bouquets of wildflowers said, "Hate me, but don't forget me."

Low-magic Western fantasy, set in a strange world that combines the Steam Age with the Age of Chivalry. The names and worldbuilding don't affect your understanding of the story.
