The Little Mute Insect Mother

Ye Qiao was a lowly female insect who couldn't speak. Lab technicians used his blood and organs to keep the Empire's little prince alive, until a Zerg general carried him home from a sea of flames, gave him a new name, and changed his fate.

The Zerg had dominated the stars for years. Bloodthirsty and brutal, they bowed to no one but their king. So after they had reclaimed all their lost territory, the day of celebration became the day the little prince was crowned the new king.

The three major military academies gathered on the capital planet, and Ye Qiao's hard-won peace was shattered once again.

The little prince was sickly, with a violent mental power. He bit Ye Qiao's shoulder and drank his blood, even forcing Ye Qiao to become his queen.

The Zerg king made him a slave and kept him from school. Royal family members insulted him for being low-ranked and unable to lay eggs, while male Zerg were allowed to humiliate him as they pleased.

He studied in the military academy's infirmary. The Zerg who came to him for treatment acted polite to his face, then turned around and called him shamelessly lewd.

Ye Qiao was sick of it all. He only wanted to wait until the celebration was over so he could return to his old life.

But the ruby on the star chart did not light up. Instead, its beam shone on an inconspicuous disabled boy.

The throne had chosen Ye Qiao.

Once Ye Qiao became king, his life suddenly grew lively. All he wanted was to escape.

Not until Ye Qiao calmly healed the violent mental power of thousands upon thousands of Zerg did they experience the mental link of a Zerg Mother for the first time.

The truth came to light.

The little prince they had loved for years was a fake. They had lost the Zerg Mother's affection.

The Zerg went berserk.

More and more love came crashing down on Ye Qiao, threatening to swallow him whole. But the Zerg discovered that the Zerg Mother had lost the ability to love.

His love and hate lay buried deep in his heart. Yet like a light that would never fade in the darkness, he loved the Zerg selflessly, even as he had forgotten how to love himself.

Fortunately, there was someone who would help him find himself again.

They say the commander who led a single army to wipe out an entire alien rebel force, and who would kill one Zerg on the street only for a follower to kill another, not only stole their Zerg Mother away. When he was discovered, he was holding the damp, limp Zerg Mother and softly coaxing him to have a second clutch of Zerglings, while driving off the interlopers who wanted to watch him build a nest for their Zerg Mother.

When the Zerg conquered the island, Xia Er finally realized it wasn't an island at all, but the corpse of a Zerg Mother that had died without fully decaying.

Xia Er was transformed into a honey Zerg. The Zerg took him away as a prisoner. He did the lowest jobs among them, hoping to go home, but strange things kept happening.

He began secreting Zerg honey, and gained many "Zerg husbands."

He laid strange eggs, and after that his belly was never empty again.

The Zerg believed Xia Er had ruined the Zerg Mother's remains. They didn't want a menace capable of threatening the lives of all Zerg to exist.

But whenever they faced him, they grew jealous and intensely possessive. They even offered countless planets and enormous fortunes, hoping to be the only one among Xia Er's countless Zerg husbands.

"My territory is your garden. Kill me, or let me die in your honey."

"I can cherish you as my Zerg Mother, and endure the torment of you not laying eggs with me, but please give me a kiss."

"It doesn't matter if you're not an artificial Zerg Mother. I like you, and only you. I don't mind even if you tear off my wings, just don't use your honey to tempt other Zerg anymore."

Xia Er had no interest in being surrounded by Zerg, no matter how much they treasured him.

Then an accident caused a large-scale disaster among the Zerg. Xia Er bravely rushed in with an inhibitor, looking for a chance to escape.

But as the flames consumed his body, his fusion with the Zerg Mother's corpse finally reached 100%.

When the Zerg found Xia Er, all they saw was the Zerg Mother's wet, silvery-white ovipositor.

The beautiful, aloof young man had shed a layer of skin. Fragile and helpless, he covered his swollen belly, his eyes filled with bewilderment and a heartbreaking desire to survive.

The Zerg Mother they had searched for over countless years was this beautiful prisoner all along.

He turned and threw himself into the flames.

The Zerg Mother "died" with eggs in his belly, but the Zerg could not find his body. Once they confirmed that the little Zerg Mother had escaped, every Zerg fell into unending madness.

The Empire's nobles desperately searched for Xia Er, unaware that the Major General Xia Er they had always coveted had become the Zerg's one and only Zerg Mother.

And Xia Er, about to return to the Empire, had no idea that the distant Zerg swarm would go completely mad for him.

The Zerg at their head knelt on one knee and kissed his disabled knee. His low voice was tinged with anxious possessiveness. "Mother, we've come too late."

Lan Su didn't like being called "Mother," and he had no idea what was going on.

It wasn't until the Zerg told him he was the Zerg Mother, the sole master of the Zerg swarm, that...

As the Zerg gently kissed his fingertips with soft lips, Lan Su finally felt a touch of disorientation.

After he was taken away, he became a wanted criminal in the Federation. The entire Federation was placed under lockdown, all to take his life.

Life on the run was hard. The Zerg hid him away and cared for him devotedly, but they disagreed with Lan Su about certain things.

During his heat, Lan Su desperately needed an Alpha, but the Zerg firmly refused to allow it.

Lan Su wanted to provide for himself, but the Zerg thought Mother only needed to be pampered.

When Lan Su went into heat, he wanted a deep mark, but not a single one of these bugs understood what he wanted.

The handsome young man finally lost patience. His eyes reddened at the corners as he gasped and grabbed the Zerg commander's collar, straddling him. His striking features flushed with color. "I'm warning you. Either give me an inhibitor or give me a temporary mark. Don't just stand there doing nothing. What use are you to me?"

In an instant, the compound eyes of every Zerg flashed with an eerie red light. Before Lan Su could react, a damp, sticky membrane wrapped around him.

The Zerg clustered around him reverently, gently licking his newly formed Zerg Mother glands. Lan Su was left wet all over, too weak to even lift a finger.

Their voices rang with unquestionable certainty. "Mother doesn't need an Alpha. We are your perfect partners."

The Federation hunted Lan Su throughout its territory, until one day he appeared at the entrance to the Federation Assembly.

All the nobles stood atop a tall building, looking down arrogantly at the pale young man in his wheelchair.

They held themselves above all others, but the moment they saw the Zerg beside the young man, their faces changed in horror.

That wasn't a wheelchair. It was a throne built by the Zerg.

Lan Su gently stroked the wings of the Zerg beside him and said softly, "Now it's time for my children to eat."
