Waiting for the Sea to Turn Blue

Lin Mingxi never imagined she'd see Chen Jingrang again.

Back then, she had rejected his feelings. She thought he'd never want to see her again for the rest of his life.

Maybe it was a coincidence.

But they kept running into each other, again and again, in a short span of time.

Her instincts told Lin Mingxi this wasn't a coincidence.

At a party, she saw Chen Jingrang again.

He stood there, completely out of place amid the glittering lights and revelry. It was as if a layer of snow covered him, his aloofness setting him apart from the world and making him seem unapproachable.

He was impossible to miss in a crowd. Anyone would spot him at a glance.

Lin Mingxi should have avoided him, but instead she walked straight over and asked him bluntly, "Chen Jingrang, did you come back for me?"

"Yes," he admitted.

"To get revenge on me?"

Chen Jingrang's dark eyes glimmered. He ran his tongue over the roof of his mouth and replied with a teasing laugh, "What else did you think?"

And yet, although he was the one who said he wanted revenge, he was also the one who kissed her again and again.

"Is this revenge?"

Lin Mingxi didn't understand. What kind of revenge was this?

Chen Jingrang chuckled softly. "After all this, you still think I want revenge on you?"

"Lin Mingxi," he said, lifting her chin. "Listen carefully."

He told her to listen, but then kissed her again without giving her a chance to respond.

She didn't understand what he wanted her to hear. All she could hear was their breathing and the beating of their hearts.

Only when the kiss was over did he smile and tell her, "This is what liking someone feels like."

"Lin Mingxi, after hating you for all these years, I still like you so much."
