A Socially Anxious Girl and Her Short-Tempered Childhood Friend

[Main story complete] Extra chapters updated when inspiration strikes

A steel-straight female lead who is timid and tongue-tied around people, blushing easily X a jealous male lead who acts as her mouthpiece and translation machine

Everyone at No. 1 High School knows about the childhood sweethearts.

They first met in kindergarten. On the very first day of school, Lu Zichen saw Qi Jie covered in mud and filthy from head to toe. Without a moment's hesitation, he took her home, changed her into a lovely princess dress, and put a sparkling crown on her head.

When Qi Jie's family's nanny came looking for her, he still wouldn't let go, insisting that this was the doll he'd found at kindergarten.

From then on, they became famous as an inseparable pair throughout kindergarten and elementary school. Qi Jie pointed, and Lu Zichen followed. They had to part ways in middle school because of her father's work, but luckily, they both ended up at the high school they'd promised to attend together.

[Male lead's point of view]

Everyone said they were a perfect match, with looks and talents to suit. Lu Zichen thought that now they'd finally reunited, and Qi Jie went home the same way as him every day, it was only a matter of time before his slow-and-steady courtship made her realize how he felt. He would confess after the college entrance exams.

But he never expected Qi Jie to fall for someone else first. And it wasn't him.

Lu Zichen tried to comfort himself that it was no big deal. He could slowly find fault with the guy and make Qi Jie dislike him. But as Qi Jie unknowingly rubbed salt in the wound with her stories, Lu Zichen finally lost it.

[Female lead's point of view]

Qi Jie has a crush on a boy.

But she doesn't dare ask him how he feels.

All she can do is use her "kindhearted" childhood friend as a sounding board.

What she doesn't know is that, after listening to her talk about him every day, her childhood friend is so jealous he's about to go crazy.

High school life isn't exactly realistic. You don't want to read about them going to school every day, do you?

I seem to be writing both their points of view, so I guess the perspective will stay undefined, QWQ.

Theme: Study hard and keep making progress.
