Eating Melon in Dream of the Red Chamber: The Second Branch Is Panicking

Jia Yingchun transmigrates into Dream of the Red Chamber with a gossip System. The people of the Jia family think Second Miss has changed ever since she fell seriously ill, and now has a head full of shocking thoughts.

[This is that completely biased Old Madam Jia. She sacrifices the eldest branch to curry favor with the servants and build her reputation, then throws up her hands after turning the brothers against each other. She spends her life enjoying food, drink, and leisure with her descendants, and after her death, the Rongguo Mansion is confiscated. She's so selfish, yet so lucky.]

Old Madam Jia: Who's spreading these outrageous lies!

[This is my cheap dad, Jia She? As the heir to the title, he has the highest authority the imperial family can grant, but doesn't know how to use it. He's completely cowed by a single appeal to filial piety. What a useless man. He deserved to die on the road to exile.]

Jia She: I'll put the family in order!

[And this is my foolish older brother, the amorous Jia Lian? He looks like a decent person, but acts like a house steward's dog for the second branch, even stupider than his father. No wonder he was exiled. And his wife: clever on the surface, stupid underneath. She does all the dirty work herself and ruins her health, earning a reputation for being formidable, but the real power in the inner household is in the hands of her good aunt. In the end, she gets divorced.]

Jia Lian and Wang Xifeng: ...

Lin Daiyu, who was left to die young after her relatives seized her fortune; Jia Tanchun, sent away to marry; Jia Xichun, who became a nun; and the others: We're done putting up with this!

And so, the entire Rongguo Mansion flipped the table.
